During its 95-year history, medical service of the internal affairs agencies has undergone many transformations and reorganizations. The service passed this way with dignity, not only retained material resources, people and traditions, but also developed and increased the potential of the departmental health service.

A MODERN OUTPATIENT CLINIC OF THE MINISTRY OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS OF RUSSIA AS THE MAIN PART OF A UNIFIED SYSTEM OF PRIMARY MEDICAL ASSISTANCE TO CONTRACTUAL CONTINGENT

The polyclinics of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia are multi-field medical-diagnostic centers with modern medical equipment and appliances, which make it possible to perform all prophylactic, therapeutic and diagnostic measures including high technology. Highly qualified professionals with many years’ experience in various fields of medicine work in the polyclinics. The scientific potentials of these clinics are the specialists with high academic titles and degrees, fundamental knowledge; they pass on their experience to the younger generation of medical workers. The policlinics are the primary part of the unified departmental health care system.

ESTIMATE OF EFFICIENCY OF INGUINAL HERNIA ALLOPLASTY USING MESHY TITANIUM ENDOPROSTHESES

Meshy titanium endoprostheses were applied for improvement of the results of surgical treatment of inguinal hernias and strengthening of a posterior wall of an inguinal canal. 60 patients with inguinal hernias were operated in the Surgical Department of the Medical Care Unit of the Russian Ministry of Interior in the Sverdlovsk Region and in the General Surgery Clinic of the Ural State Medical University. Lichtenstein titanium mesh hernioplasty with implantation of meshy titanium endoprostheses was performed in all patients. An average bed day was 7.3 ± 0.6. There were satisfactory short- and long-term outcomes.

CONTINUITY OF CARE FOR THE PATIENT WITH ORTHOPEDIC TRAUMA COMPLICATED BY PERONEAL NERVE NEUROPATHY

The article deals with the medical case of the patient L. aged 33 with the consequences of sports injury: closed displaced fracture of right tibial entocondyle and right fibula head, right knee complete rupture of ligaments with instability of the third degree, peroneal nerve traumatic neuropathy on the right.

RATIONAL APPROACH TO THE ESTIMATION OF METABOLIC DISORDERS IN INTERNAL AFFAIRS OFFICERS AND POSSIBLE WAYS OF THEIR CORRECTION

The problem of metabolic syndrome and its symptoms has been widely discussed in modern medicine in recent years. Researchers expand and complement the variety of symptoms of pathological changes. The authors describe androgen deficiency in males older than 45 years, which serve in internal affairs agencies and have disorders of carbohydrate and fat metabolism and cardiovascular diseases. The authors analyze the status of this group of patients and suggest possible ways of metabolic disorders correction.

INNOVATIVE COMPLEX ELECTRIC ULTRASOUND THERAPY USING THE OPERATORLESS APPLICATOR HANDSFREE SONO FOR TREATMENT OF TENDINOUS-LIGAMENTOUS APPARATUS PATHOLOGY

The article deals with the physiatrics of tendinous-ligamentous apparatus pathology using complex electric ultrasound therapy with an operatorless ultrasound applicator and rotating field technology. The authors analyzed the mechanism of the method, method validation, procedural specifics, and efficiency of the method. They detected that this innovative technology is high-performance and functional, makes it possible to solve the problem of treatment quality with less labor costs and time spending. This is very important in conditions of high intensity work of physiotherapy rooms.

TRADITIONAL RADIOLOGIC METHODS OF LOWER FACE EXAMINATION FOR DETECTING CAROTID ARTERY CALCIFICATION

The article shows the retrospective analysis of images of the most commonly used radiological methods of lower face examination for assessment of their diagnostic significance in detecting carotid artery calcification in patients older than 55 (the average age – 64.1).

EXTRA-DUTY ASSIGNMENTS INFLUENCE ON PSYCHOLOGICAL STATES OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS OFFICERS

The article deals with the comparative analysis of personality profiles and levels of adaptation potential in officers of Special Rapid Deployment Force of the Ulyanovsk Regional Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia before and after extra-duty assignments. All of them had closed craniocerebral mine-blast injuries in past history. It is detected that after extra-duty assignments these officers had significantly increased impulsivity and anxiety; their adaptation potential level was not satisfactory. The detected characteristics may be psychotherapy targets and use for development of individual personality-centered rehabilitation programs in medical and psychological follow-up of this contingent.

EMOTIONAL BURNOUT SYNDROME IN DOCTORS

The requirements to the professionalism of a person grow at the present stage of development of the Russian society in conditions of social and economic instability, labour-market competition, and social stresses. However, not everyone can adapt, effectively carry out professional activities and social role, so the probability of adverse mental states increases.

PSYCHOPROPHYLACTIC ROLE OF RELIGION IN THE LIFE OF MILITARY PERSONNEL

Long time religion in our country was not only separated from the state, but also outlawed in some spheres. In particular, this concerned the Armed Forces, where the rights of believers did not take into account at best or were oppressed at worst. In recent decades, the situation began to change for the better; many servicemen can openly express their religious feelings and perform certain religious rites. The article is a cautious attempt to explain this subject but not intended to reflect an official position of the Medical Service.

SPECIFICS OF MEDICAL EXAMINATION OF PERSONS WITH MYOPIA USING ORTHOKERATOLOGICAL CORRECTION

If ophthalmologists from military physician boards know the symptoms that accompany using orthokeratological lenses, they will not make possible diagnostic mistakes in decision-making in their practice.
